I am so excited to be able to have another giveaway! When Facebook updated all their rules I was terrified to even try to hold one--I knew a couple of people who had their pages shut down, and I did not want to be the next one. After a couple months I finally felt like I knew enough to be able to hold a 3000 fan giveaway that will last the entire month of August!
I have some help setting up the album--I simply cannot find the time to find sponsors, have the business, and work and be mom--I just couldn't figure out Google Docs right now--LOL!--so I have some great help and it has been great for me to be able to focus my time on emails and networking to make this giveaway great and BIG! I have over 56 items in the giveaway album and more to come later today!
The giveaway is 100% FaceBook compliant! All the entries and personal info will be given on Google Docs. The winners will be chosen at random and posted here on my blog. I will let everyone on FaceBook know when the list of winners is up and posted (hopefully within a couple days of the giveaway ending on the 31st), but it will only be able to be viewed on my blog--this is to be compliant with the rules, so I do appologize if that is a pain for anyone--but it simply has to be that way :) I hope everyone is OK with the rules.
Please take the time to "like" the sponsors! It is a lot of hard work to put this together, and people are kind enough to donate their time and money to be a part of this. Please do not "unlike" a page after the giveaway! It is discouraging for the businesses involved. If you do not want to see the posts from someone, just "hide" the posts so they do not show on your feed--we would all greatly appreciate it!
I hope you are all enjoying your summer! As most of you know, I am not a great blogger!!!---but I am always around and able to be reached on FaceBook or on email at bobblespeanuts@gmail.com
Thanks ;)

pretty petti!
Making tutus is a funny thing for me! Growing up I never really considered myself a girlie girl. I had a lot of boy-friends, had a boys bike, never wore dresses or pink, and got dirty...a lot!! My poor parents! Over the last 5 years or so I find myself trying to become more feminine as I get "older" (shiver!!!). Once I had Abby I turned into a hopeless frilly, pink, flower, girle-girl (and I LOVE IT!). Even still, it is a little odd for me to sit for hours and make a tutu. I absolutely love doing them, but I have to chuckle at myself every time I do one...that for the tom-boy I used to be I am sitting on my couch in a mountain of colored tulle and ribbon. It makes me smile every time. In an effort to make a more frilly and fluffy tutu I made this last one a petti-tutu. It's basically the same, but with more tulle and more fluff. The ends have knotted tufts of tulle, which makes it more colorful and fluffy. This one I made for Lori, and it is ocean-theme colors. I hope her little girl loves it as much as this reformed tom-boy loved making it
I hope you all have a great Memorial Day weekend. Eat some good BBQ and spend some time with the people you love

bobbles.com!!!!!!!!!!!
What a long and crazy road this has been!! I could not be happier to finally be able to say that my webpage and store are now open! With all the new issues and guidelines with Facebook, it could not come at a more pefect time!
http://www.bobblespeanuts.com/
Check it out! I would love to hear some opinions!
I have to admit that this was a really difficult thing for me to do and be a part of! Thankfully I found someone great at http://www.scraplesscreations.com/ to help be through the process. Lori was so patient and helpful to me, and I am sure there were times she did not want to see one more email from me! I am the first to admit that while I consider myself very computer/internet savvy, I could not do anything with HTML code to save my life!
Hopefully over the next few weeks I will be able to iron out any potential kinks there may be. I can only assume that (as with anything new) there will be some growing pains, but I am hoping that my husband and myself can be up for the challenge to learning to take care of my new page.
On the creative front I am hoping to start making some more new styles of tutus. I am going to try out a petti tutu and knotted tutu over the next few weeks and see how they turn out!--I'll keep you all posted with pics!
Maybe sometime before the end of the month I will be able to get outside and enjoy the weather. I am going a bit stir crazy between doing so much for Bobbles and the fact that it has rained at least a little bit for the last 8 days. It's starting to get to me not seeing the sun for this long!
Have a great week

busy busy bobbles
What a fun and BUSY spring it is turning out to be! The website is coming along! I am very much hoping by the end of the month we will be live, but it is a little premature to set a date yet. Hopefully by the end of the summer it will be running well and have the little kinks worked out--I know there will be growing pains with this, so hopefully I will learn fast and everyone will be patient with me :) It will be so much nicer to have an easy and centralized place for orders!
I am also getting prepared for a day-care tag sale to liquidate baby gear and maybe sell some Bobbles inventory :) I have to admit that as much as I do not want more babies, it is VERY emotional for me to go through all this stuff and get rid of it! That is really strange for me, because I can usually get rid of almost anything with no issues. I will have all my baby gear there as well as a table to showcase some of my stuff. I am also looking into a local outdoor market/craft fair that runs over the summer. I am hoping to go check it out this weekend and if I like it I may book a table for a day or 2.
In my spare time (HAHA!) I have been still making new things. I have really enjoyed playing with the new fabrics I have. Mostly I am making appliques, button covers for pony holders, and fabric flowers with them. It is fun to do something new! This is one of the fabric covered headbands that I made with a couple of matching flowers. I have TONS of fabric and more on the way to be able to do more colors and styles
I am SO thrilled with how this came out!
Have a great week :)

Itty Bitty Bows
Today is Mother's Day, and even though we did not do anything remarkable, I had a most wonderful day with my 2 kids and husband. My son is almost 3 now, so the terrible 2's are finally starting to die down a little and he is so much more fun to talk to and play around with. My little Peanut is 11 months, and she has such a great personality that you cannot help but be happy when she is with you. I am very lucky in motherhood :)
ahhh...anyhow, I have been keeping very busy with trying to get the webpage done. It is hard to find time to do such a big project, but it is coming together and I hope that soon all my shopping will be on the webpage and no longer on FB. I will still post items there for everyone to see, and will still do sales there, but the shopping will all be on the site. It will be easier for me and a lot easier for customers!!! :)
Lately I have been working on fabric flowers and button pony holders. They are not quite ready to show yet, but they will be soon! What I have also done a lot of is use up some ribbon scraps. I have lots of great ribbon pieces that are too small to make anything large, but too cute to get rid of, so I started making itty bitty bows. Most of them are sold individually, but I have a couple pairs as well. I just love how cute they are, and yet again I find it hard to not give them all to my daughter!!! These are a few of my favorites so far!
Hope you all had a great weekend. Too bad they go by too fast!!

what to blog...??
So I find myself really struggling with what to blog about lately! I am sure this happens to everyone who has a blog, but I feel like I have "writers cramp" so to speak! I don't want to ONLY talk about and showcase my things (though that will always be a big part of it--LOL!), but I guess I want to know from you--what makes you read and enjoy a blog??
I suppose I should include some things about me, even though I have never been great at discussing things about myself--but here is a little bit about me!
My name is Harmony Niedzwiecki. I live in Western Massachusetts in the town of Easthampton with my husband of 7 yrs (Dave) and our 2 kids: Seth will be 3 May 21 and Abby is 10.5 months. I work a full-time 32 hour a week job as a dental hygienist on top of being mom and now being the only one running Bobbles & Peanuts! I think sometimes that I just must be insane, but I really do love it! I would LOVE some day to be able to cut back on my full time job and do more with this creative outlet! I LOVE to scrapbook, read, cook, bake, and do almost anything outdoors! I find that I have less and less time to do some of the other things that I love these days, but I am really trying to work on my time-management skills!! :)
I started Bobbles & Peanuts on Feb 14, 2011. I could not be happier with how it has been going for me so far! Lots of people ask how I came up with the name of my store. I started making accessories for my daughter, Abby, so I wanted to have her name in there somehow without something obvoius like "Abby's Accessories" or something like that!! I tend to call all her little hair goodies "bobbles", so that seemed to fit well and was catchy! I have also called Abby my "peanut" since day 1--ironic because she is always in the 90%+ for her age in length!! Anyway, from there "Bobbles & Peanuts" became the name and I have always just like the sound of it! I still get to have Abby in there without having to outright say her name!
OK---I would LOVE some feedback from all of you! What would u like to see on this blog?? It can be more about Bobbles & Peanuts, about me and my family, or about anything else--I am willing to branch out a little :)
These are a couple pics of all of us! The first one is of Dave and Seth on Easter. The 2nd is Abby, my Peanut! from about 1 month ago. The bottom is Seth and me from Christmas---sad but true---I have almost no pics of myself since I am usually behind the camera!!
Have a great weekend!!!

Happy Spring!
So it finally is starting to feel like Spring a little here in Massachusetts. We are in the process of putting together a swing set for our kid's up-coming birthdays and are all enjoying getting outside after such a long long winter! I absolutely LOVE being outside so I am taking full advantage of it! That being said I have been making as many new Bobbles, but I have been working on more tulle flowers and even starting to make fabric flowers (hopefully pics coming soon!)
I just finished a referral contest and was lucky enough to gain LOTS of new fans! I will be having another Nap-Time Games on May 6 at 1 PM EST--I am skipping a couple of weeks due to the referral contest for one, and I am off to a Red Sox game on Friday of this week--YIPPEE!!! Kids off to mom's overnight and I get to have some real fun-time with my husband for the first time in WAY too long! We got in a good habit for a while of taking time for ourselves, but it is so easy to get caught up in everything with the kids that time for us has fallen by the way-side a little. We are working on changing that again! I whole-heartedly think that all parents need a little time to themselves too!
One new thing that I have been working on is iron-on appliques for shirts. I am trying to think of things to be able to offer all the little boys out there too! We will see if these are popular--I hope so because I think they are adorable! This is one of the tie patterns, but I have animals, butterflies, crowns, planes, rockets, hearts, and more!!

(Ummmm...I have NO idea why this is so big!! LOL---did I get your attention?)
Have a great last half of the week!
:) Harmony
